Well, it seems as if the country is dividing (at least among people I know). I am so disappointed in people who call themselves Christians and are bashing our new president-elect because of one or two views that they disagree on. The election was not a one-issue campaign, and I'm disappointed that Christians can't accept the country's decision and agree to pray for and support our new president (like they've done for the current one-even those of us that didn't like him still supported him as our president). The issues of abortion and gay marriage are important issues, but that doesn't mean that they are the ONLY issues or that they are more important than others. This country needs to make some changes, and I'm personally really excited that we have elected a new president that offers some great suggestions for change! But regardless of whether you voted for him or not, we should all pray for him as he enters this role. And remember, God is always in control, and He chose Obama as the leader for this great country that we live in. Don't doubt God.

And just to clear up a few facts that I've seen people misrepresent on their blogs/websites:
1. Barack Obama was born in Hawaii (which IS a US state), and his father was from Kenya (not India....not even the same continent)
2. If you don't make much money, you won't be taxed more
3. Abortion is not the only issue in this election, and Obama doesn't support "murdering" of innocent babies, he supports the right for a woman to choose, and he supports preventing unintended pregnancies to lower the number of abortions - by expanding access to contraception, health information, and preventative science

For those of you that make negative statements about our new president-elect, please check your facts before you go making judgements and wrong statements. It just causes people to get "up in arms" and fight about it.

Today is Election Day, and I have to say....I'm really curious as to how it's going to turn out. I've been told to keep my mouth shut about my opinion so as to not have problems at work and church with people who might disagree with me, so I'll probably try to adhere to that advice. In the meantime, I have so much work to do, and I just have no interest in doing it. Oh well.

I wish that Charleston got more color changing in the fall. The temperature has been nice, but more color would just make it feel so much more like fall.

On a positive note, I won both of my fantasy leagues this week! Go me! So now I just need to hold my position in one league and keep winning in the other to make the playoffs. We'll have to see how it goes.
